An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Non-Destructive
and Development Engineer in Rolls-Royce Derby.
You will be an integral part of our non-destructive testing
group. As part of this
team, you will help us to provide a comprehensive range of integrated
inspection, non-destructive examination (NDE) and condition monitoring
for all phases of the nuclear reactor lifecycle.
Working closely with other development teams within the
and Repair Services (IMRS) department, the NDE Research team is responsible
for the identification, development, and transfer of new and improved
into IMRS and the wider Submarines business.
Our current activities involve:
- Development of bespoke software for ultrasonic finite element simulations
- Development of permanently installed ultrasonic monitoring systems
- Deployment of new phased array inspection techniques onto the nuclear plant
- Development of guidance material to support

- Design and support of high integrity inspection development and qualification
Project work ranges from research and development of solutions
to project management and technical oversight of subcontracted tasks
